Tour Details
Day 1 – Arrival in Palermo
Upon arrival in Palermo, a private driver will pick you up at the airport and drive you to your hotel in the city center. You will have time to relax before enjoying your welcome dinner. Night in Palermo (B, D)
Day 2 – Palermo
Palermo boasts a fascinating blend of historical influences, from Roman and Arab to Norman and Byzantine. The city is renowned for its stunning architecture, including the Palermo Cathedral and the Norman Palace, as well as its bustling markets and delicious street food. You will spend the morning with a local guide visiting the city including the Palatine Chapel and the famous folklore local markets. Night in Palermo (B)
Day 3 – Erice and Pastry Class
This morning you will be transferred to Erice, a delightful medieval village perched on a mountaintop. Walking its narrow streets, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Egadi Islands below, where the region’s once-famed tuna harvest took place. After strolling around, you will attend a pastry class where you will learn the art of creating delightful almond-based pastries which are typical of Erice. Night outside Marsala (B, L)
Day 4 – Salt Pans and Marsala Tasting
Today you will head close to Marsala city center to visit its renowned salt pans and enjoy a short boat tour of the lagoon around them. In the afternoon you will make a stop at one of the best producers of the local sweet and smooth Marsala wine. After a tasting of this incredible dessert wine, you will take in the local museum, which displays the remains of an awesome Phoenician ship. Night outside Marsala (B)
Day 5 – Boat Tour to Egadi Islands
Today you will enjoy an amazing boat tour to Egadi Islands. Explore the stunning archipelago known for its crystal-clear waters, secluded beaches, and picturesque landscapes. You will have the chance to snorkel and swim in coves difficult to reach otherwise. Away from the chaos of crowded beaches and immersed within the largest protected marine area of Europe, you will enjoy the typical Sicilian atmosphere just like a real islander would. You will also get the chance to fish and enjoy a great lunch on board cooked at spot. Night outside Marsala (B, L)
Day 6 – Selinunte
You will start the day with a visit to Selinunte, one of Europe’s largest archaeological parks, where you will meet your local guide. You will be blown away by the ancient Greek ruins over the blue Mediterranean Sea. Night near Castelvetrano (B, L)
Day 7 – Wine Tasting and Olive Oil Tasting
Today you will indulge in a delightful wine tasting experience in Sicily. Discover the region’s rich viticultural heritage as you sample a variety of exquisite wines while learning about the wine making process. You will also enjoy an amazing olive oil tasting made with the green Castelvetrano olives. Night near Castelvetrano (B, L)
Day 8 – Agrigento
This morning you will leave Castelvetrano to proceed to Agrigento. Upon arrival, you will visit UNESCO Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, one of the richest archaeological areas of the world. A passionate and knowledgeable art historian will take you on a tour among the remains of several ancient temples constructed in the Doric style in the 6th and 5th centuries BCE, followed by a visit to the site museum. They are some of the largest and best-preserved ancient Greek buildings outside of Greece. Night in Agrigento (B, L)
Day 9 – Piazza Armerina
Your first stop today will be Piazza Armerina, known for its well-preserved Roman mosaics. The highlight of the town is the Villa Romana del Casale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which houses some of the finest Roman mosaics in the world. Afterwards, you will proceed to Cafalù, a charming coastal town known for its beautiful sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a picturesque historic center. Night in Cefalù (B)
Day 10 – Cefalù
This morning you will explore Cefalù with a local guide and visit its iconic Norman Cathedral, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have the afternoon on own to relax in the Mediterranean atmosphere offered by this charming place. Night in Cefalù (B)
Day 11 – Monreale and Dinner at a Private Palace
This morning you will drive to the small hill town of Monreale to behold the mosaics of its Norman cathedral, among the most extraordinary in the world. This amazing monument is a dazzling mixture of Arab, Byzantine, and Norman artistic styles, a perfect blend of Christian and Muslim art and architecture from the 12th century CE. Your local guide will explain you everything about the history and the art of this unique place. Afterwards you will drive back to Palermo to enjoy an afternoon on own. Tonight, a local noble person will open the doors of his own palace to you for an unforgettable gala dinner and special memories. Night in Palermo (B, D)
Day 12 – Departure from Palermo Airport or Begin your extension to Rome
This morning you will be transferred to Palermo airport for your flight back home or begin your extension to Rome.

Today you will be transferred to Palermo airport and catch your flight to Rome. Upon arrival, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to your centrally located hotel. You will have time before meeting your expert local guide who will take you on a walking tour of Rome. Night in Rome (B)
Day 2 – Renaissance Palaces Tour and Evening Visit at Borghese Gallery
This morning your local guide will bring you on a Palaces Tour of Rome, a very unique tour covering come of the best examples of Renaissance architecture. You will have the afternoon on own before meeting your guide again at the Borghese Gallery for a special evening visit. A must-see for art lovers, and even if you’re not an art aficionado, this gallery is worth the visit as it’s one of the greatest baroque galleries on Earth displaying masterpieces from Bernini to Caravaggio to Raphael and Canova. Day 3 – Departure from Fiumicino Airport
Today you will be transferred to Fiumicino Airport to catch your flight back home.
