Tour Details
Day 1 – Arrival in Verona
Upon your arrival at Verona airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your centrally located hotel. After some relaxation, you will enjoy an Italian welcome aperitif. Night in Verona
Day 2 – Verona
This morning, you will enjoy a walking tour of Verona with your local guide. You will explore Verona’s UNESCO heritage historic center strolling through Renaissance palaces, churches, and bridges, showcasing the city’s cultural and artistic past. Notable attractions include Juliet’s House (Casa di Giulietta), believed to be the inspiration for Shakespeare’s tragic love story, the impressive Verona Cathedral (Duomo), with its stunning façade and Romanesque architecture, and the Arena di Verona, a well-preserved ancient Roman amphitheater that hosts operas, concerts, and other cultural events. Day 3 – Eastern Lake Garda
Today you will start to explore the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Your first stop will be Lazise, a charming town offering a delightful combination of medieval architecture, narrow streets, and a beautiful lakeside promenade. Afterwards, you will make your way to the Santuario della Madonna della Corona, a breathtaking sanctuary built into the rock face at an elevation of 774 meters with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. It can be reached by climbing a winding path or taking a cable car ride. After the visit, you will proceed to the spectacular peninsula of Punta San Vigilio, from where you will enjoy a breathtaking sunset on the lake while sipping a typical Italian aperitivo. Day 4 – Towards the Northern Shore
This morning, you will proceed on the eastern side of the lake towards the picturesque town of Malcesine whose centerpiece is the medieval Scaliger Castle, a majestic fortress that overlooks the lake and offers stunning panoramic views from its tower. Malcesine narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants, creating a delightful atmosphere for leisurely strolls. There will also be the possibility to take a cable car ride to the top of Monte Baldo, known as the “Garden of Europe,” which provides unforgettable vistas all over Lake Garda. In the afternoon, you will head to Riva del Garda, where you will have time to explore its medieval fortress of Rocca di Riva, stroll along the scenic lakeside promenade, or relax on the town’s beautiful beaches. Day 5 – Boat Tour
This morning, you will go on a boat tour across crystal-clear waters and enjoy the stunning scenery and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and picturesque shoreline dotted of charming villas, lush gardens, and ancient castles. In the early afternoon, you will depart for Limone del Garda. Known for its lemon groves, it has a long-standing tradition of lemon cultivation, dating back centuries. The microclimate around Lake Garda provides ideal conditions for growing lemons, prized for their vibrant yellow color, intense aroma, and tangy flavor. They are used in various culinary delights, including traditional desserts, liqueurs, and refreshing drinks. You will explore the lemon gardens, learn about the cultivation process, and of course sample local lemon-based products. Night in Limone del Garda
Day 6 – Terrace of Thrills and Paper Museum
Today you will head to the so-called Terrazza del Brivido, Terrace of Thrills. Perched high on a cliff, the viewing platform provides an exhilarating experience where you will enjoy stunning views over the lake and the surrounding mountains while standing on a transparent glass floor that extends beyond the edge of the cliff. Afterwards, you will head to Toscolano Maderno to visit the Paper Museum, offering a fascinating exploration of the art and history of papermaking and showcasing the significance of paper production in the region. You will learn about the traditional techniques of papermaking, from the raw materials to the intricate processes involved. Night in Salò
Day 7 – Isola del Garda, Rocca di Manerba, and Coffee Experience
Today you will visit the spectacular Isola del Garda, a island located in the middle of Lake Garda It is home to a magnificent Venetian neo-Gothic villa, known as Villa Borghese Cavazza, which stands as the island’s centerpiece. You will explore the villa’s elegant rooms, adorned with intricate frescoes and exquisite decor, and wander through the meticulously maintained gardens that showcase a rich variety of flowers, plants, and ancient trees. Afterwards, you will make a stop in Manerba where you will visit the impressive Rocca di Manerba, a medieval fortress set on a hilltop. The hike to the fortress will be rewarded with a coffee break at a historical coffee roasting company in the historical center. Time permitting, we will make a quick stop in Sirmione before heading to the charming town of Peschiera del Garda. Night in Peschiera del Garda
Day 8 – Wine Tasting and Borghetto sul Mincio
Today you will head to a local winery, owned by the same people for over four generations. Here you will learn all about lugana, the local white wine produced by the lake. You will taste some of their best wines and sample them with local specialties. Afterwards, you will visit the cutest town of the area, Borghetto sul Mincio, located along the banks of the Mincio River. As you stroll through Borghetto, you’ll be captivated by the romantic atmosphere and the peaceful ambiance created by the flowing waters of the river and the surrounding greenery. Beyond its ancient stone bridge, the village is also renowned for its historic water mills made with wooden water wheels and rustic structures. You will also have the time to visit the famous Parco Sigurtà, a park renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant flower displays, and serene lakes. Later, we will head to your hotel in Villafranca, close to the Verona airport. Night in Villafranca di Verona
Day 9 – Departure from Verona
Today you will be transferred to Verona airport to catch your flight back home.
