Motor Valley and Piedmont - Truffle Edition

Tour Details
Day 1 – Arrival in Italy
Upon your arrival at Bologna Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. You will have some time to rest before your welcome dinner. Night in Bologna
Day 2 – Ducati Motorcycle and Lamborghini
Today you will visit Ducati Motorcycle exhibition outside Bologna and the Lamborghini Factory Museum in Sant ‘Agata Bolognese, the historical headquarter of the famous brand. Night in Bologna
Day 3 – Bologna and Imola Circuit
This morning, you will enjoy a guided tour of the historical city center of Bologna with a local guide. In the late morning we will then enjoy a lunch in Imola at a local farmhouse. In the afternoon, you will have a private visit of Imola F1 Speedway, the track, paddock, podium, and Senna memorial. Night in Bologna
Day 4 – Scuderia Ferrari at Maranello Headquarter, Balsamic Vinegar Tasting
This morning, you will move to Maranello, the historical headquarter of Scuderia Ferrari; you will visit the Ferrari Museum, the factory and enjoy a private tour of the speedway of Fiorano. Afterwards, you will be transferred to an historical local “Acetaia” in the Modena countryside to experience a balsamic vinegar tasting followed by lunch. Balsamic vinegar (aceto balsamico) is a prestigious condiment, produced in limited quantity as it can only be made in the geographical areas of Modena and Reggio Emilia and must age a minimum of 12 years before being bottled. That is why it is known as “oro nero”, black gold. Night in Modena
Day 5 – Maserati and Pagani
Today you will visit the most important private collection of Maserati cars in Modena.In the afternoon we will visit Pagani Automobiles factory founded by Horacio Pagani, alternatively guided tour of Modena city centre. Tonight, you will enjoy dinner at a local gourmet restaurant near Modena. Night in Modena
Day 6 – Ham Tasting and Senna Collection
This morning you will visit a local Parma ham producer where you will learn all about this premium and artisan product. You will also have the chance to have a tasting of the freshly cut Prosciutto di Parma that will literally melts in your mouth. After the tasting, you will head to Pavia where you will visit a private collection of very rare memorabilia related to Motorsport, Formula 1 and the legend of Ayrton Senna. You will enjoy a local lunch in the city centre of Pavia. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your charming hotel in Piedmont. Night near Alba
Day 7 – Cheese Tasting and Barolo Wine, “the King of Wines”
Today you will be delighted by a visit at a typical sheep farmhouse, house of a cheese producer of the area. You will learn everything about a tradition that has been passed on generation by generation while tasting freshly made cheese. In the afternoon, you will visit Barolo and its famous castle, now home of the Museum of Wine before stopping at an historical cellar to taste Barolo, defined as “the king of the wines and the wine of the kings”. In the afternoon you will stop in a small hilltop town to savour its famous handmade chocolate, a true specialty that you will never forget! Night near Alba
Day 8 – Discovery of the White Truffle, “the King of Mushrooms”
This is going to be a special day for truffle lovers! You will start by truffle hunting with a “Trifolao” (traditional Italian name for the truffle hunter) and his loyal truffle dog. After learning everything about the traditions around this special mushroom and its daily market trend at the Truffle Stock Exchange, you will finally have the chance to sample it over a truffle-based lunch in Alba. In the afternoon, you will visit the White Truffle Fair and will experience a sensorial analysis of truffles (please note that White Truffle Fair takes place every year only from October to December). Night near Alba
Day 9 – Departure from Turin Airport
Today you will be transferred to Turin airport to catch your flight back home. Time permitting, en route you can visit the Historical Automobile Museum in Turin.
