Oman 4x4 Tour, The Real Oman
Please note that we suggest to purchase your inbound flight to Muscat and outbound flight from Dubai, if you wish to do the Dubai extension; otherwise, round trip to Muscat.

Passport with at least six months of validity is mandatory; One Life Journeys does not provide any service and assistance related visa requirements and processing.
We highly recommend purchasing a personal travel insurance at the time of booking.
Flexibility: Possibility to change dates, name of participant or tour until 75 days before departure (a supplement cost might be requested during high season, or for flight quotations if requested)

Tour Details
Day 1 – Arrival in Muscat
Upon your arrival in Muscat, you will be transferred by your guide/driver to your centrally located hotel. You will have time to rest until we meet for our first Omani dinner. Night in Muscat
Day 2 – Muscat
This morning you will start the day with a visit at the Grand Mosquee, the biggest mosque in Oman and the only one in the country opened to public. Afterwards, you will enjoy a guided tour of Old Town of Muscat. After some time on own, in the late afternoon you will embark on a “dhow”, the traditional wooden-hulled Arabian boat, for an unforgettable mini cruise and dinner at sunset. Night in Muscat
Day 3 – Arch Tanuf, Misfat, Nizwa Fort
It will be a long drive today but definitely worth it! You will see breathtaking canyons, gorges, palm groves and mountains while driving to Misfat Al Abriyeen, a unique mud village embraced by date trees. You will learn about “falaj”, the ancient water channels system still in use nowadays. On a roof terrace, you will enjoy a coffee/tea break served with “halwa”, the traditional Omani dessert. Time permitting, upon arrival in Nizwa, you will visit its renowned fort. Night in Nizwa
Day 4 – Jebel Shams, “the Grand Canyon of Arabia”, Wadi Ghul Village, and Jabreen Castle
Time permitting, today you will enjoy the easy Balcony Walk to see some spectacular views of the canyons and the mountains. Jebel Shams literally means “Mountain of the Sun” as it is the first place to receive sunrise in Oman but it is also known as the Grand Canyon of Arabia due to its spectacular views. On your way back, you can make a stop at Wadi Ghul Village, where you will see men making handmade carpets. Afterwards, you will proceed to Jabreen Castle, one of the most preserved and quaint castles of Oman, before going back to Nizwa. Night in Nizwa
Day 5 – Birkat Al Mouz and Wahiba Desert Safari
Your first stop today will be a clay village, Birkat Al Mawz. This village literally means “pool of bananas” due to the many banana plantations around it and it’s also home to the traditional Falaj irrigation system (listed as Unesco World Heritage). Afterwards, you will proceed to Wahiba Desert Camp where you will have an amazing experience dining and overnighting in the desert. Night in the Wahiba Desert
Day 6 – Wadi Bani Khalid, White Sand Dunes, and Turtle Oasis
Today you will explore some natural beauties of Oman starting from Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most beautiful wadi (in Arabic it means “ravine”, “valley”) in the country. It’s located between the desert and the coast and will definitely be a great chance to go for a swim! Afterwards, you will be taken to “Woodland”, our signature destination, a forest in white sand dunes . Tonight you will spend the night near the turtle reserve (Depends on season). Night nearby the turtle reserve
Day 7 – Sunrise Experience with Turtles and Wadi Shab
Time permitting, you will start the day very early to go observing the turtles’ egg laying, a one life experience which is absolutely worth getting up early! Afterwards, you will explore more of the natural gems of Oman today starting with Wadi Shab, a 4-hour guided excursion, a mix of boating, hiking and swimming to get to an incredible place. In the afternoon you will be transferred to your hotel in Sur. Night in Sur
Day 8 – Dhow Factory, Sinkhole, and back to Muscat
This is your last but not least day in Oman! On the way to Muscat, you will discover more natural beauties while driving on super scenic roads, considered among the most beautiful of the world. You will also learn all the secrets around hand crafted dhows, the typical Arabian ships, still made by local artisans using centuries-old techniques. Upon arrival in Muscat, you will check in at the hotel before gathering for the last evening together. Night in Muscat
Day 9 – Fly back home
Today you will be transferred to your hotel to catch your flight back home or begin your extension to Dubai
4-day Dubai Extension
Day 1 – Arrival in Dubai
Upon your arrival at Dubai Airport from Muscat, you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel in Dubai. You will have time on own to start exploring the city. Night in Dubai
Day 2 – Guided Tour of Old and New Dubai including Market of Gold and Spices
You will be picked up by your guide this morning for a 5-hour tour of Old and New Dubai, including the market of gold and spices. In the afternoon, you will have tickets to go up Burj Khalifa on your own. Night in Dubai
Day 3 – Museum of the Future and Beach Time
In the morning, you will have tickets to visit the Museum of the Future, a hymn of futurist and innovative technologies, services, and products. Afterwards you will enjoy some beach time. Night in Dubai
Day 4 – Fly back home
Today you will be transferred to the Dubai International Airport to catch your flight back home.
